The drumming is relentless and completely intrusive,it's like they have three Micky's,not a hint of subtlety or letting the music breathe. They managed to Allman-ize Jimi like they do everything and talk about not being able to find a groove, they just pound their way past anything groove related. You think since it is so obviously rehearsed they could have worked out a groove. These guys are to the Allman Brothers what Furthur is to the Dead,go listen to a Mountain jam with Duane,Dicky and Berry and it will be obvious.

I find I enjoy this version of the Band as much if not more than the old..they brought some life to the stale abb set list.....

Outside of the original line up the addition of Warren,Derek and Oteil is the most talented grouping being Greg's ability on organ was always wanting and the drummers are mediocre at best. These guys approximate the sound of the original band pretty well, but I prefer Duane,Dicky and Berry on guitars.I can see where this line up might appeal to people more than what came before, but it really has very little to do with the Allman Brothers other than a batch of songs and the least talented portion of the original line up.The Allman Brothers in actuality were a very short lived entity and died with Duane.
